Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner celebrated for 50 years of public service

Wisconsin Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner was celebrated for 50 years of public service at the Waukesha County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner on Friday night. Sensenbrenner won his first race for public office in 1968 when he was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly. He next ran for Wisconsin State Senate in 1975 and was first elected to the US House of Representatives in 1978.

Joining Congressman Sensenbrenner on stage were Congressman Sean Duffy, Rick Graber, Former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, Former RNC Chairman Reince Preibus, and Former Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch.

Others in attendance were Senator Ron Johnson, Congressman Mike Gallagher, Former Congressman Tom Petri, Congressman Glenn Grothman, and Congressman Bryan Steil.

Sensenbrenner says he plans to run again for re-election in 2020.
