Eric Holder targets Wisconsin Supreme Court race

Former Obama Administration Attorney General Eric Holder was in Madison this weekend to campaign for Judge Rebecca Dallet.

Holder’s group, the National Redistricting Democratic Committee, has already spent $140,000 on ads on behalf of Dallet.

Holder has previously indicated that President Obama will help with his group’s efforts and that Obama could travel to some states to campaign on Democrats’ behalf.

Holder and Obama are seeking to spend money ahead of 2020 elections, so that they can win enough state legislative and judicial seats to impact redistricting to advantage Democrats. During Obama’s presidency, Republicans picked up nearly 1,000 state legislative seats.
