Important WI Supreme Court Election Next Week
Wisconsin’s State Supreme Court Primary election is on Tuesday, February 20. Sauk County Circuit Judge Michael Screnock is the only conservative running. He is running against two liberals: Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Rebecca Dallet and Madison Attorney Tim Burns.
The two candidates who receive the most votes on next Tuesday’s election will advance to the General Election in April.
The battle between the liberals Dallet and Burns has been interesting to watch. In a debate last month, the two went after each other. Burns is trying a new liberal judicial candidate approach by being overtly partisan. Burns is even saying he is a Democrat in his advertisements.
Burns is an attorney in the Madison office of the national law firm Perkins Coie, which infamously helped push the Trump Russia Dossier.
