Will Tony Evers Follow Through on Promise of BadgerCare for All?

Back on the 2016 campaign trail, Tony Evers promised to work on BadgerCare for all Wisconsinites. At the time, the Republican Party of Wisconsin noted the “Last time Democrats tried this kind of far-left health care scheme, they ended up pushing the largest tax increase in Wisconsin history.”

In late September, Evers did say he didn’t think he would be able to include it in his first budget, but said “at some point in time the public option has to be there.”

So far though, it appears Evers has changed his focus to “affordable healthcare.”

So will Governor Evers follow through on his promise of BadgerCare for all and raise taxes on Wisconsinites? Or will be break this campaign promise as he pushes other healthcare priorities?
